Amboi.....rajin betul semua...nak juga notes yg cgu tayangkan tadi...tak pelah...credit utk cgu Pn.Tan Seoah Chee kerana memberi izin kepada cgu utk share powerpoint yg dia buat tahun lepas...baca jangan tak baca ye...

Suka...suka...happy sgt2...sebabnya..cgu tak sangka ramai anak murid cgu dah rajin2 sekrg nie...harap2 ia berkekalan sampai akhir tahun...oops...sampai PMR...hehehe...

Terima kasih kerana memberikan cgu lebih semangat utk mengajar...suka dan happy sgt2 sebab tanpa cgu suruh @ pesan pun...anak2 murid cgu dh buat latihan ...teruja sgt...mcm nie lebih semangat cgu nak mengajar....

Inspiration or Inhalation

During inhalation the external intercostal muscles contract, which raises the chest cavity or the ribs. This is accompanied by the lowering of the diaphragm. Together these movements serve to increase the area of the thoracic cavity, which reduces the pressure. The air from outside rushes into the lungs.

Expiration or Exhalation

The internal intercostal muscles contract bringing the ribs back to the original position and the diaphragm is also raised back by the action of the abdominal muscles. This reduces the space in the chest cavity and increases the pressure. This expels the air out of the lungs.

Demonstration of Breathing Mechanism

Take a bell jar. Towards its rounded end, fix a 'Y' shaped glass tube and on the open ends of the two branches tie a balloon each. On its open end tie a thin rubber sheet. The cavity of the bell jar acts as the thoracic cavity, the "Y" shaped tube as the trachea that branches into bronchi and the rubber sheet as the diaphragm.

 To demonstrate inspiration, pull the rubber sheet down. The balloons get inflated. This shows how the lungs are filled with air when the diaphragm moves down.

How are the Balloons Inflated?

When the rubber sheet is pulled down, the volume of the cavity increases. This brings the pressure down. Low pressure inside the jar brings the air rushing in through the tubes and inflates the balloon.

To demonstrate expiration, the rubber sheet is allowed to go back to its original position. The balloons get deflated. This shows how the lungs are deflated when the diaphragm comes back to its original position.

How are the Balloons Deflated?

When the rubber sheet goes back to its position, the volume in the jar is reduced and the pressure is increased. This pushes the air out of the balloons.

Ok..cgu cuba copy video2 ttg Respiration nie....best betul chapter nie...byk sangat link yg bagus2 kat internet..cuma pandai2 cari laa...dan kena rajin...cgu nk tunjuk kat kelas..tak sempat...nnti lambat pulak habis belajar...asyik nk tengok video je...so cgu nak anak2 murid cgu yg rajin2 nie...search dan explore sendiri ye...cgu berikan link2 nya sahaja...memang mudah nak faham dan video yg menarik sgt2...

Salam Hujung Tahun....!!

Seperti yg cgu janjikan...kita akn memulakn P&P tk lama lagi...so are U ready..?...cgu berikan sedikit penerangan tentang tajuk pertama yg akan kita pelajari nnti...jangan lupa study ye...



Why do you need to breathe?
- To live
- To get energy
All the cells in your body require oxygen. Without it, they couldn't move, build, reproduce, and turn food into energy. In fact, without oxygen, they and you would die! Breaking of glucose with the present of oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water and energy.

Glucose + oxygen ---> carbon dioxide + water + energy

How do you breathe?
You breathe with the help of your diaphragm and other muscles in your chest and abdomen. These muscles literally change the space and pressure inside your body to accomodate breathing. When your diaphragm pulls down, it not only leaves more space for the lungs to expand but also lowers the internal air pressure. Outside, where the air pressure is greater, you suck in air in an inhale. The air then expands your lungs like a pair of balloons. When your diaphragm relaxes, the cavity inside your body gets smaller again. Your muscles squeeze your rib cage and your lungs begin to collapse as the air is pushed up and out your body in an exhale.





5 steps in inhalation
a) external intercostal muscles contract while internal set relaxes.
b) Diaphragm contracts and flatten
c) Ribs cages moves upwards and outwards. This increase volume of thoracic cavity and decreasing the pressure.
d) Pressure in lungs is lower than the atmospheric pressure.
e) Air from outside enters the lungs
